SACM - Swiss Association of Communication and Media Research
Every year, the SACM awards a prize for an outstanding dissertation in communication and media research. The prize is endowed with CHF 3000, and a summary of the awarded thesis is published in the open-access journal Studies in Communication Sciences (SComS).
Eligible are dissertations graded at least magna cum laude, written by Swiss researchers or researchers at Swiss universities, and finally completed between 1 December 2025 and 1 December 2026. SACM membership is required. Applications may be submitted in German, French, Italian or English.
Please send all documents (cover letter with short CV, summary of max. 10 pages in SComS format, the dissertation, and the doctoral certificate or a confirmation from the university) as a single PDF by 31 December 2026 to florence.vanhove@unifr.ch.
